Does anyone have a suggestion on a good resource (website, article or book) that helps me better understand how to use these measures in analyzing results?

Here are some details:
Confidence Interval
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confidence_interval

In general, you should be able to google the terms and find out resources pretty easily since they are all standard statistical measures.

We got thinking the other day about ways to increase the reliability and dependability on online research. The question today in not IF companies need to conduct online research, but how can they conduct online research effectively.

With VerticalPanel™ we've made panel management and incentive management easier. However we are still thinking about not only ways to conduct research easier, but also make it more reliable.

One such solution is our upcoming "Confidence Score™" measurement. The Confidence Score™ is a score assigned to each panel member based on a couple of factors:

- Country of Origin (IP Address Reverse Mapping)
- Demograpic Details Re-Questioning
- Time taken to complete a survey is within 1-Standard Deviation of the average
- Other Parameters?

We would like to know if you have other parameters that we should consider as we develop this solution. Let us know what you think.
I think this is a MySpace problem! Not sure what we can really do here.

Does anyone know if Banner Tables (under Reports -> Crosstabulation) works? I chose a Pivot and clicked Create Banner Table and nothing happened. I've tried over and over again with no success. One of the main reasons I chose to use QuestionPro was because of this feature. If anyone has any advice, I'd really appreciate it.

What license do you have?

I've recently begun conducting quarterly surveys with our customers. I've just completed the first quarter (Q1) surveys, and want to know if future Q2, Q3, etc. responses will automatically be added to my Q1 response data set?

See the trend analyis module under the Reports Tab.

Can someone explain the significance and operation of the ext_ref variable please? I'm OK with the Custom Variables but can't understand how the ext_ref works.

Ext_ref variables works the same as Custom Variables - Functionally they are identical.

within a matrix type questions i would like to include an 'other' category to give the respondents a chance to offer their open-ended response regarding the survey question. this option is currently not available for a matrix type question.

Just simply add an open-ended or comment question below the matrix and remove the separator between the two questions. You'll get the effect you want.

Hello!

I'm using the url custom feature and need the ip address for app.questionpro.com to resolve to. Does anyone know it?

Thank you very much.

You don;t need an IP address - You should point your DNS record as a CNAME to app.questionpro.com.

Has anybody been able to successfully add HTML to their email invitations? I can fill in the HTML Email Content box (under Send Email Invitation -> Edit Email Invitation) and save it. But when I look at the email itself, it only ever shows the Plain Text Content. I have tried blanking out the Plain Text Content box and saving, but again, the HTML does not show up.

Is there something I'm doing wrong or is the HTML not actually supported?

I am currently using a free account.

Address Book is not available with the free accounts.

i downloaded the results from my survey in excel and spss format chart. however, the responses from each respondent are on multiple lines. it is not a 'clean' export. am i missing some option?

is there a way to export the data so that one can work on it directly - or does it need post-processing in excel? any suggestions?

my survey has combination of multiple-choice, matrix extraction, branching logic and piping text.

thanks.

For data that has looping (piping text) you will have multiple rows for each responded - there is physically (and technically) no way around it.

I would like to convert the slide shows into a printed report. I notice that when I create a report all I can do is convert the charts and graphs into word or PDF. But I don't know how to import the text I've written to customize the slides into word. Is that possible?

Currently the customized text in the reports are not converted when requesting a Word/PDF download. This is under development and will be released in a future upgrade - Approx in May/June 2006 timeframe.

I choose the URL branding at the beginning, but when they released the license now i cannot delete that option!! (it says that is only for corporate accounts!!)
I dont want to use that option !
please help!!

Please send an email to Customer Support stating this issue - one of our support reps should be able to remove the URL branding option from your account.
