I know this has been addressed to some extent, but I believe our requirements may introduce an added level of complexity.
Here is our current survey model: we run a series of conferences. On the last day of each conference, we present our attendees with a paper survey form. When they've completed the form, they can turn it in at a registration area and receive in exchange a small gift. Their badges are punched (which effectively removes the possibility of their submitting a second survey form), they receive thier gift and off they go to the airport.
It would be a huge help if we could use an online survey instead of paper. In the QuestionPro context, how could we control not only the duplicate submission of surveys, but also prevent multiple gifts to the same individuals, and prevent giving gifts to individuals who have not completed the online survey at all?
I believe the badge punch is an effective deterrent to the duplicate gift, but doesn't assure that the giftee has actually completed the online survey. In addition we still have the ballot box stuffing issue. Noting that our attendees may be using their own laptops or any of a number of internet access kiosks set up in the conference areas, it doesn't appear that ABBS can be used nor can survey passwords. (If I'm wrong in this understanding, please correct me.)
Is it possible to provide each attendee with some sort of individual identifer that can prevent the submission of dupes? Further, could the survey status (submitted or not) for this identifier be quickly interrogated by someone (the gift hander-outer) prior to the handing over of the gift?
It's just not clear to me how such a model could be managed -- I welcome your suggestions. We really need to shift from paper to online survey administration!
Thanks.
